Competencies define the abilities, skills and knowledge that are needed by employees to be successful. They act as indicators of how employees will accomplish a job and can be used in a wide variety of ways. Learn more here
A job description is a document that is comprised of the necessary competencies, education, responsibilities, knowledge areas, certifications, and other pieces to be successful. Using job descriptions, one can outline the structure of the organization and measure success.
Currently we only support the English language through the HRSG Marketplace. You can contact an account executive here for more options
The products are currently supported on the past three versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Other browsers are not explicitly tested and may not offer the full range of functionality.

The marketplace is currently in its Beta mode as we refine our products and services. As products successfully import into our testing sites, we will enable them for purchase on the Marketplace.
We want to demonstrate the full range of offerings, and provide people with a way to view what we will have available in the future. All products on the marketplace can be previewed to see what content they have available for sale.
Site generation can take up to 2 hours to complete, though it usually is faster based on server load. The reason it takes as long as it does is that we have to clone a template site first, and then have the API import content into the site. After those processes are done, we run an update on the software to make sure it's ready to use for you.
Products are separated into base packages and add-ons. You need to buy a base package first, and then you can buy an add-on. Base packages are located at the top of the marketplace. You can also ask the bot in the bottom right corner of the screen to help guide you through the process. Or if you would like to speak to an expert you can fill out a form on our website here.
Subscriptions are 12 month deals for all modules. If you add something to your Competencycore site later, your purchase is reduced accordingly for the remaining duration.
Administrator licenses are for people who want to manage the software backend and frontend. Typically, these roles fall to Human Resources staff.
Manager licenses are intended to provide more senior staff with the ability to administer reports and see results about their team.
User licenses provide additional spots in the software for more members of staff to be added.
Our Interview Questions and Learning Resources are mapped to the Competencies, so we packaged everything together for a single price.
The competencies in the marketplace have been developed over 28 years by our experts. A custom competency engagement would have our professional services staff work with your organization to build new competencies that are aligned to your organization.
Tier 1 customer support is included for free in every CompetencyCore site. It provides access to resources that will help you to determine what you need to do for basic operation of the site, and email access to customer support representatives that can respond to email queries in a reasonable timeframe.
Additional levels of customer support focus on decreasing the amount of time it takes to hear a response, and provides access to a direct-line to a customer support representative or other expert who can aid in providing more rapid responses.
The job descriptions can be used by going to the jobs section in the software and selecting the templates you want to use. They can be used to provide employees with more direction in their role, or to inform hiring decisions based on best practices.
Competencies can be edited through the edit button located on the competency. We recommend that non-experts refrain from doing so, as this reduces the validity of the competency, and their usefulness in other applcations.
The competencies can be exported to other software, but there is also an associated cost with this. If you wish to do so, please contact an account executive here for more info.
Human Resource Systems Group Ltd. owns the competencies and the job descriptions; the subscription provides you with a license to use the content within CompetencyCore. HRSG maintains all copyrights and intellectual property rights for its content.
The data servers are located in Ottawa Ontario at the Rogers Data Centres. Access is limited to the site, and it is currently classified as a protected facility (Government of Canada Protect B).
Digital security between the servers and company sites is secured through the use of SSL (secure sockets layer). This eliminates the possibility of “In-Transit” interception of data by a third party.
The data servers are housed in a secure facility staffed by trained experts 24 hours a day. There are redundant cooling systems and a fire suppression system in place at the data center.
